It’s Holly Willoughby’s turn to fall victim to Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway pranks this weekend as she gets dealt her own surprise on her TV show Surprise, Surprise.
As Holly films the latest instalment of her entertainment show Surprise, Surprise, she believes she is helping reunite charity worker Annabel with her boyfriend Richard (played by Ant) for a special proposal.
Joining Annabel on stage are her fellow colleagues (played by actresses) and her boss Jean Luc (played by Dec).
And as Richard takes to the stage with Annabel’s favourite band Blue to serenade her before getting down on one knee, Holly is left gushing at the romantic gesture.
But things soon take a turn for the downright weird when Annabel suddenly turns down the proposal and bursts into tears and turn of events that they proceed leave Holly bewildered.
Once Geordie duo Ant and Dec spill the beans and reveal they’ve done their worst to Holly, she exclaims: ‘Oh My God. It’s You. I nearly threw up!’
After the stunt Holly added: ‘I had no idea, I never thought I would be fooled but I honestly didn’t twig.
‘As far as I was aware we had a relatively simple surprise, a boyfriend proposing to his girlfriend, but it all went wrong. I felt my heart sink when she said no. You never think anyone would say no!’
And vowing to take revenge, she added: ‘I was relieved when I found out it was a stunt but the boys best beware, I like a prank so may just have something up my sleeve!’
