On Thursday’s show Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield met Melissa Mead, whose baby son William died of sepsis in 2014.
Melissa appeared on the show to raise awareness of the condition, but it was her beautiful memories of her son that saw Holly overcome with emotion.
The presenter dabbed her eyes as Phil took over the interview, and apologised when the segment ended before giving Melissa a hug off camera.
