She’s been on the receiving end of Keith Lemon’s NSFW pranks and gags for years, but Holly Willoughby could finally get a chance to take her revenge for a sexually suggestive prank involving a …banana.
The former This Morning star, 43, is due to host a new survival show for Netflix, which has the working title of Bear Hunt.
Also featuring Bear Grylls, the show will drop British TV icons into the Central American jungle, who shall become prey to the 49-year-old survival expert.
While the line-up is yet to be confirmed, Leigh Francis – the man behind the Keith Lemon character – is the first one rumoured to be heading to Costa Rica to take part.
Not only that, but the filming location is one of the world’s three top banana-exporting nations.
So, after Leigh, 50, once famously coaxed Holly into inserting a banana into her mouth in a very suggestive manner on Celebrity Juice, it could be time for some payback.
As per The Sun, filming is to begin in May with an all-star cast.
A TV source said: ‘Netflix are splashing the cash and all the celebrities taking part as contestants are bagging at least six figures.’
‘It won’t be a walk in the park, though,’ they insisted.
‘The celebs will learn survival skills and take part in challenges, before being hunted down by Bear himself.
‘Holly has the elevated role of host, so she won’t be getting her hands dirty.’
‘She’ll be perfectly placed to get her own back on her old pal,’ said the insider, alluding to trouble ahead for comedian Leigh.
Leigh is a long-time pal and colleague of Holly’s, having worked with her on panel show Celebrity Juice from 2008 until 2020.
Viewers will remember his nickname for her, ‘Holly Willoughbooby’, which was encouraged by Holly’s producer husband, Dan Baldwin.
Along with fellow panellist and BFF Fearne Cotton, Holly got dragged into all kinds of challenges and naughty games.
Leigh said previously: ‘When I do Juice, there’s often someone in my ear going, “Say this.”
‘Normally it’s Holly’s husband saying, “Say this bad thing to my wife”, and I’m like, “No way! I’m not saying that!”‘
Meanwhile, it’s believed Holly is having doubts over signing up to host the new Netflix series.
It has been said the Dancing On Ice host feels guilty about leaving her husband and their three children – son Harry, 14, daughter Belle, 12, and eight-year-old son Chester – behind while she films.
‘Holly will naturally miss her children and husband when she is away – she had lived in a lovely bubble with them while she took time off work. So it will be hard being away,’ a source claimed.
The insider continued to OK!: ‘Like so many mums, she feels that mum guilt as she tries to juggle family life with her TV career.
‘It’s something she’s spoken about openly in the past – and she also wants to show other mums that she is just the same, she feels it too.
‘But she knows that, ultimately, she is setting a good example to her little ones by being a working mum.’
In the past, Holly has addressed mum guilt, admitting it’s ‘normal’ and insisting she ‘loves [her] kids more than anything on this planet.’
