Amanda Holden has seemingly reignited tensions between herself and Holly Willoughby after taking a jab at her presenting skills.
The 54-year-old TV personality just hosted her first-ever Netflix reality series, Cheat: Unfinished Business, where couples who have been caught cheating or being cheated on are shipped off to a luxury villa to see if they can salvage their relationship.
The show, also fronted by Married at First Sight’s Paul C. Brunson, has not had the official greenlight for a second season yet but there have been reports that a round two is on the way.
On the Heart Breakfast radio show which she co-hosts with Jamie Theakton, the Britain’s Got Talent star addressed the rumours of a return, saying she ‘didn’t know for sure.’
Jamie then poked fun at the situation, joking: ‘What are they suggesting, they getting Holly Willoughby?’
To which Amanda said: ‘I… what?!’ before quickly quipping: ‘No, they want a proper presenter.’

Jamie seemed to note the questionable undertones of the statement, saying: ‘You’re going to be in trouble’.
But Amanda quickly dismissed his concerns, adding: ‘No-one’s listening’.
It’s not the first time Amanda has levelled a savage comment in the former This Morning host’s direction.
Holly, 44, also recently hosted her own Netflix survival show with Bear Grylls, Celebrity Bear Hunt.
In June 2023, Amanda seemingly joined a whole host of people mocking Holly after she asked This Morning viewers if they were ‘ok’ when Phillip Schofield was forced to leave the ITV daytime show after admitting to an affair with a younger colleague.

In a video wearing similar clothes to Holly she asked her followers: ‘Hell, it is Tuesday. Are you OK?’
She then appeared to double down on the mockery on her Heart breakfast radio show.
At the time, a spokesperson told Metro that she has ‘no issues’ with Holly and her video was ‘taken out of context’.
She then issued her own statement slamming the idea of a ‘rift’ between herself and Holly.
She said at the time: ‘Sadly, strong and intelligent women have for far too long been pitted against one another when we should all be celebrated in our own right.’
It has been reported that tensions could go back as far as 2018 when Amanda wasn’t picked to cover Holly on This Morning while she was on I’m A Celebrity, with the gig going to Rochelle Humes instead.
Metro columnist Adam Miller offers his take on Amanda Holden's Cheat: Unfinished Business
It might sound like an odd comparison, but as this new dating series shows men breaking down their toxic masculinity to face their cheating pasts and become more comfortable with being vulnerable, it feels particularly timely after the release of Adolescence.
The four-part drama, which explored the very real threat of incel culture in schools and manipulation of young men to hate women, is perhaps the most important piece of television for years, finally addressing the problem of what it means to be a man and how that impacts the rest of us.
Then you have this new dating show, where men are being taught to redefine their masculinity, untangle the fabric of their manhood and feel the impact their behaviour has on the most important women in their life.
The first four episodes, at least, are a surprisingly moving watch.
As for a potential second season of Cheat, an insider told The Sun: ‘There was always the hope Cheat had the potential for a sequel, but since it dropped it’s got a great response so another season is a no-brainer.’
The media star first appeared on TV in 1991 on Cilla Black’s Blind Date and over three decades on reflected on her excitement at having her own Netflix show.
She told Metro that she manifested this moment after seeing Michelle Keegan in Fool Me Once (a Harlan Coben series which proved a mega hit for the streaming giant).
‘I thought, “Oh my God, if Michelle Keegan could do this, I can do this.”
‘I love Michelle Keegan but seeing this success is happening for British people was wonderful because you think this is an American thing, and it’s now happening for some British people, the lucky few of us.’
Metro has reached out to Amanda Holden’s representative for comment.
Cheat: Unfinished Business is available to stream now on Netflix.
