This needs to be true (Picture: ITV)

Jenny-Ryan has just dropped a massive clue that one of The Chasers is on ITV’s new talent show The Masked Singer – and we need this to be true.

The star, who appeared on this year’s X Factor: Celebrity wowed viewers with her incredible voice – and now she’s taken to social media to tease her followers about the new programme – and it has left fans reeling.

Taking to Twitter, the Vixen shared a picture of The Masked Singer’s twitter account as following her – and she captioned it ‘Is this a clue?’

Fans instantly jumped on the bandwagon and responded with several suggestions – Is Jenny on the show or is it one of her fellow Chasers?

Suggestions included Shaun Wallace…Bradley Walsh and even Anne Hegerty.

One fan commented: ‘The dark destroyer…. Knew he was a Radiohead fan. Just knew it.’

Another responded: ‘I hope so. You would be marvelous on the show.’

A third added: ‘The chameleon is Sean?.’

This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has also been dropping hints that she is on the show.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were discussing the new show with Kem Cetinay, and the discussion went on to the rumour that Alison was Duck.

Kem explained: ‘They’re saying that our Alison could be the Duck, that’s what they’re saying

‘I am not sure and I know Alison has got a good voice.’

Alison posted the clip from This Morning to Twitter with a simple winky-face emoji – so that means she has basically confirmed it right?

The talent show hosted by Joel Dommett left fans reeling as Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, and Ken Jeong tried to guess who the mystery celebrities were.

The first act was Duck vs Queen Bee and the guesses from the judges varied from…Kylie Minogue to Charlie XCX, Emilia Clarke and even Jimmy Carr.

For Duck, they threw out guesses such as Kelly Holmes, Paula Radcliffe and Melanie Black from All Saints.

Although fans thought that Queen Bee had to be Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud.

The next battle was Unicorn vs Butterfly and viewers on Twitter were convinced that Unicorn was the one and only John Barrowman (as did Jonathan) although Rita went for Adam Lambert.

The 52-year-old entertainer made his debut as the new Dancing On Ice judge during Sunday night’s episode, and while the focus was mostly on the skating competition, hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield couldn’t help but quiz him on the big mystery.

‘A certain someone might be living a secret double life,’ Phillip remarked before playing a VT of the Unicorn singing Kate Bush during Saturday night’s episode of the new ITV series.

If it sings like John, moves like John… (Picture: ITV)

Holly then pressed: ‘John Barrowman, I’m only going to ask you this once, are you or are you not moonlighting as a Kate Bush-loving unicorn?’

Of course, John sang his response: ‘Holly Willoughby I wouldn’t tell you if it was me.’

That was enough to convince Holly and Phil that John is indeed the Unicorn as they exclaimed: ‘It’s so you.’

Holly then asked: ‘Can I try your outfit, just once?’ to which he cheekily replied: ‘You’d have to rip it out of my closet if I had it.’

The Masked Singer continues on Saturday on ITV.

‘Human Ken Doll’ Roddy hospitalised in horrific ordeal self-medicating to transition but she proudly announces: ‘It’s wonderful being a woman!’

Roddy, the star formerly known as The Human Ken Doll, has revealed she was hospitalised after putting herself in grave danger by self-medicating during her transition.

The 39-year-old appeared on This Morning today to mark her first TV appearance since coming out as transgender over the weekend, and revealed she’s been secretly living as a woman since September.

However, the former Celebrity Big Brother star’s journey came at a cost as she turned to countries where she could buy over the counter hormones because here in the UK there’s a shortage of doctors specialising in gender dysphoria – when a person feels a separation between their biological sex and gender identity.

‘In June or July I started self-medicating myself which was wrong,’ she told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. ‘Anyone who has been diagnosed with gender dysphoria – don’t self-medicate yourself.’

Roddy revealed last summer she was attending a celebrity event in Los Aneles while filming a TV show out there which ended in a terrifying ordeal.

‘I had a few drinks and next thing I remember waking up in hospital,’ she explained, after mixing the meds with alcohol.

But after unveiling herself to the world, Roddy is looking forward. ‘It’s wonderful being a girl!’ she proudly exclaimed. ‘I love getting my hair and nails done.’

The serial reality TV icon confirmed she will be changing her name and passport, but for now, we’ll have to wait until her next appearance on This Morning to find out what that might be.

‘I will be celebrating my name,’ she enthused. ‘My female name is a secret. I’ll come back here and tell you.’

Look forward to it, Roddy!

Breaking the news of her transition, Roddy told the Daily Star: ‘It feels amazing to finally tell the world I’m a girl. I finally feel like the real me – glamorous, beautiful and feminine.

‘For years I tried to live my life as a man. I had a fake six-pack put in, I had fake muscles in my arms, but I was lying to myself. ‘I’m a woman and have always had a feminine brain. Now my body matches my mind.’

She added: ‘I have tried my best to behave like a man and live the best life I could. But deep inside, I was never happy.

‘I have female thoughts. I think like a woman, I act like a woman, because I have always been one deep inside.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.

Piers Morgan brands Holly Willoughby ‘fake’ in savage Good Morning Britain take down

Piers Morgan has urged Good Morning Britain viewers ‘not to be fooled’ by This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby.

The controversial presenter took aim at the 38-year-old host after he discovered that his ITV breakfast programme was up against hers at this year’s National Television Awards.

Both Good Morning Britain and This Morning have been nominated for the best daytime, and the latter show has taken the gong home nine times in a row.

Infuriated by the news, Piers insisted: ‘I’m not going this year, it’s a total waste of time. It’s actually got very boring.’

He continued: ‘Holly always goes, “Oh! Me again?!” Then she leans in and goes, “Take that you little….”

‘Do not be ever deterred by the Holly Willoughby fake halo.’

Piers enthused that he’d love to see The Chase’s Bradley take the accolade this time around.

‘Don’t you think Bradley Walsh would be a great winner?’ he asked.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield intervene as Trisha Goddard and Matthew Wright clash in heated ‘racism’ row over Meghan and Harry

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield had to intervene on This Morning as guests Trisha Goddard and Matthew Wright clashed in a discussion over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The two presenters were discussing the return of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to their royal duties – it’s a hot button topic as always, but things got a bit heated.

‘The royals, let’s say Meghan and Harry, have had vitriol towards them. It’s basically racist and misogynistic stuff,’ Trisha commented on some press coverage of the pair. ‘And I think that clouds a lot of the issues.’

Channel 5 frontman Matthew, however, had a different point of view entirely – and it was from then that things took a turn for the worst.

‘You don’t think taking £20 million of public money [for the Royal Wedding],’ he offered. ‘And then not giving the public the thing that the public wants [pictures of baby Archie]…’

The Dancing on Ice contestant then cut in and asked: ‘So you call them a racist after that? That’s my point!’

‘I’ve seen on Twitter when I raise issues like that,’ Matthew replied. ‘Then I get called a racist.’

To which Phillip and Holly then immediately intervened, shutting the topic of conversation down entirely.

‘I think we know what is actually racist language and what isn’t,’ Holly argued as she steered the discussion in another direction.

This is the second time in a week now that a discussion on the programme has had to be curtailed by one of the hosts. On Friday, Ruth Langsford had to physically stop a heated debate over Veganuary.

But it became clear pretty early on that Joey – who described himself as a vegan activist – was so passionate about veganism, he wasn’t going to listen to anyone’s opinion but his own.

After a very shouty back-and-forth, it took Loose Women anchor Ruth to cool the debate down.

‘Joey, you seem very angry about this,’ she intervened. ‘It almost seems like you can’t listen to the opposing view.’

This Morning continues weekdays from 10am on ITV.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in tears over these accidental NSFW drawings… by children

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield almost fell off their seats as they were confronted by a series of NSFW drawings on This Morning today…. created by children.

Four-year-old Amelia became viral sensation when her drawing of a pink slide resulted in her mother being called into her nursery. She did, however, get a gold star.

Not that Amelia minded, as she was delighted to tell Holly and Phil she’s now famous – and rightly so.

And even more importantly, she’s still painting and we’re expecting more wonders like the masterpiece above to be hanging in the halls of The Tate Modern any day now.

So to celebrate Amelia’s work of art, This Morning called on parents to share their children’s NSFW pictures and the results were, well – why don’t you see for yourself.

Piers Morgan has raged at Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield for always winning at the annual National Television Awards and has branded the ITV family ‘liars’.

The no-nonsense presenter’s show Good Morning Britain is up against This Morning once again for best live magazine show in the upcoming ceremony, and he took aim at his competition and fueled speculation that there’s drama behind-the-scenes at the network.

Mocking Holly and Phil’s acceptance speeches, Piers began: ‘Holly and Phil go, “What? Us? Us? Little old us? For the 55th consecutive year?”

‘They do their whole, “We’re all one big happy family at ITV,” when everyone knows we’re a seething hotbed of backstabbing liars, charlatans, drunkards…They know who they are.’

‘Why bother?’ he fumed. ‘It’s literally groundhog day. It is ridiculous. Even when [Ant] had the year off, walking his dog, he got an award.’

Sounds like somebody’s a little jealous.

Last month, there were reports of tension behind-the-scenes at This Morning, including claims that Holly and Phil were secretly feuding and that a number of presenters had complained about Phil’s attitude.

A spokesperson for ITV said at the time: ‘It’s deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip. Phillip is a much-respected broadcaster and colleague and this is absolutely not a description of This Morning that we recognise.

‘Holly and Phil are great friends both on and off-screen and are popular among viewers and colleagues alike.’

Miriam Margolyes shocks viewers as she says ‘t***’ when talking about the Queen in This Morning live blunder

$

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield had to apologise as their guest Miriam Margolyes swore live on-air on This Morning whilst discussing her meeting with the Queen herself.

The Call The Midwife actress was appearing on the daytime programme in a wide-ranging discussion with hosts Holly and Phil, when she began to reminisce about an awkward encounter she shared with the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

‘I was invited [there] as part of British Book Week,’ the Harry Potter star began. ‘And when the Queen came over to me and asked me what I did… I said like a t***-‘

At which point, a clearly very red-faced Holly and Phil had to step in and apologise to viewers after the slip-up.

‘Sorry!’ they said, immediately looking at the camera… as the actress continued her story, seemingly unaware of her blunder.

‘I said I’m the best reader of stories in the whole world,’ Miriam went on. And apparently, the Queen did nothing but roll her eyes. The shade!

We don’t know why they’re so surprised, though, as the star is a repeat offender of live on-air blunders.

The presenting duo were previously left a bit awkward as Miriam was caught mouthing a swear-word when talking about a different type of queen, British acting royalty Dame Maggie Smith.

Holly Willoughby Phillip Schofield This Morning Miriam Margolyes
Holly and Phil quickly apologised to viewers (Picture: ITV)

Phil had mentioned that Miriam was told her accent sounded similar to the one put on by the Dame in the Harry Potter films as Professor McGonagall.

‘I think my Scottish accent is better than hers. I do. I know what she was trying for. We’re Glasgow and she was trying for Edinburgh,’ Miriam said, ‘not that I’m rubbishing Maggie Smith because she’s a great lady. I was f**king scared of her actually.’

Miriam mouthed the swear word – it is daytime TV and way before the watershed after all – and made Holly and Phil collapse on the sofa in fits of laughter.

However, we think it’s quite unlikely the Queen was tuning into the Thursday edition of This Morning as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their intention to step down as senior members of the royal family.

Unfortunately for us, however, it looks as if Netflix drama The Crown won’t be adapting the explosive storyline for the screen any-time soon.

That hasn’t stopped people making many, many memes about a possible future season with the Duke and Duchess, however.

This Morning continues weekdays from 10am on ITV.

Holly Willoughby shuts down awkward question about her sex life on This Morning

A red-faced Holly Willoughby shut down an awkward question about her sex life during a segment on This Morning.

Tne presenter was leading a debate on whether it was true that a third of all women were uninterested in sex when the topic was brought up.

Guest Dawn Ward revealed that she still has sex with her husband three times a week despite being married for 25 years, and the same question was then put to Holly. To say she shut it down quickly would be a bit of an understatement.

‘I am…not part of this,’ Holly informed them, shaking her head. ‘This is not something anyone needs to know.

‘I can talk about this with my friends,’ she continued. ‘But I’m not going to talk about it here.’

Well, that’s that on that! To be honest, Phillip Schofield didn’t know where to look.

Holly and Phil were also left a bit red-faced earlier today when Call The Midwife actress Miriam Marolglyes dropped a shocking expletive – when talking about the Queen of all people!

Kerry Katona shows off ripped physique after getting criticised for promoting weight loss injections

Kerry Katona was definitely feeling herself as she stripped down to her underwear to show off her weight loss.

The Atomic Kitten singer has credited weight loss injections for helping her shed two stone and drop to a size eight.

And despite being criticised for promoting the jabs on social media, the 39-year-old was singing their praises once again while posting some snaps of her trim figure on Instagram.

She wrote in the caption: ‘Got to say credit where credit is due I’ve kept my word to myself to stay in shape, quit smoking and just in general have a healthier lifestyle not just for the benefits of losing weight and keeping it off but even more so for my state of mind.’

She went on: ‘I have never ever felt more on top and in control of myself, my emotions, my decisions and my over all wellbeing!’

‘With a huge help from @skinnyjab which gave me that kick up the a*** and from @ryanmahoney_7 [boyfriend Ryan Mahoney] who is just one in a million.’

It comes after the mum-of-five hit out at This Morning for calling her ‘irresponsible’ for using Skinnyjab products to lose weight, and promoting the injections on social media.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield called out Kerry and Gemma Collins.

Dr Zoe called celebrities promoting the jabs ‘irresponsible’ (Picture: ITV)

Holly, 38, said: ‘Could an injection a day help melt the kilos away? That’s what Kerry Katona and Gemma Collins would have you believe after promoting the use of slimming jabs.’

The hosts turned to Dr Zoe Williams who explained that the injections contain a drug called Liraglutide, which is prescribed for type 2 diabetes.

Dr Zoe said: ‘It makes it look like a wonder drug.

‘I personally think it’s really irresponsible and dangerous, because they’re making it out you can lose magnificent amounts of weight using this drug, but the truth is you can’t.’

Kerry called their comments ‘unfair’ and said the product is something that actually works for her.

‘I think it’s very unfair they didn’t have any of us on there. I’m not promoting this just for a pay cheque,’ she told The Sun.

‘Of course I get paid, but I also use the product. There are celebrities out there that would promote something and not use the product. I need to know if it works – and it worked for me.’

We are just days away until the start of Winter Love Island and new host Laura Whitmore has already teased a shocking twist ahead of the show on Sunday.

Laura, who has replaced Caroline Flack on the new series, gave the entertainment presenter a grand tour of the villa and as they reached the bedroom he questioned the number of beds in there.

‘There are 14 beds and 12 contestants?’ he questioned.

Trying not to laugh, Laura teased: ‘Almost like there might be a bombshell happening…’

Laura proceeded to show Richard the rest of the villa, which is twice the size of the villa in Mallorca.

As they strolled into the lounge Laura continued: ‘There’s a lot of space for conversations and relationships to grow.

‘Lots of little nooks and crannies if you want to get away from everyone else.’

The news follows after Laura revealed Caroline had sent her a message of support before she had even bagged the hosting job.

Flack stepped down from the first-ever Winter edition of Love Island after being arrested and charged with assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Laura previously assured she had Flackers’ backing but during This Morning today, the 34-year-old revealed details of the message her predecessor gave her before ITV announced she was taking over the villa.

‘It was a little bit of a whirlwind,’ the former Strictly Come Dancing star admitted to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. ‘When Caroline stepped down she actually sent me a text saying, “I really hope you get to do this series.”

‘But then there was all this speculation in the papers and I didn’t know anything, I just knew as much as everyone else.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.

The Masked Singer Chameleon: Could it be love between Rita Ora and the reptile?

$

Last weekend, Rita Ora seemed to seriously ponder whether she could date a reptile after being charmed by The Chameleon (and definitely not his bulge) on ITV’s The Masked Singer.

And in a preview of tonight’s episode, the 29-year-old judge takes it up a notch by enjoying a little flirt with the mystery singer when he hands her a romantic single red rose during his performance. The pop star then attempts to playfully slap him with it – yep, we’re in for a ride this evening.

In the clip, The Chameleon gives his best rendition of Portugal. The Man’s hit Feel It Still and is joined on stage by a string of female dancers all clad in futuristic green and black outfits and matching sunglasses.

Last Saturday, the unknown star won over Ora and fellow judges Ken Jeong, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross with his mellow performance of Radiohead’s Creep.

What a night (Picture: ITV)

Meanwhile, viewers are still none the wiser when it comes to his identity – although celebrity names touted by fans on Twitter have included Bake Off’s Noel Fielding (imagine!), boxer Chris Eubank, Olympian Greg Rutherford, and actor Will Mellor (lols).

Last week, TV presenter McCall divulged that Ora was in fact disappointed when The Chameleon’s mask came off, telling Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning: ‘When they took the mask off, Rita was like “Take it off! take it off!’ and when they did she was like, “Put it on, put it on!”’

Sounds harsh.

So far, only two singers have been unmasked on the bonkers yet riveting reality TV show. EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer revealed herself to be The Butterfly after her cover of You’ve Got The Love, while former Home Secretary Alan Johnson was exposed as the Pharoah after his lacklustre performance of Walk Like an Egyptian, best enjoyed with the sound down. Soz, Alan.

Denise Van Outen appears to have accidentally let slip that she is Fox after forgetting to delete a tweet confirming her love of teapots, despite revealing on the show she’s been collecting them for the past 30 years, while fans think they’ve rumbled Queen Bee and Unicorn.

Bring on tonight!

The Masked Singer continues Saturday at 7pm on ITV while This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on the same channel.

The Masked Singer UK: Davina McCall reveals fans are in for a shock as one celeb is putting on an accent to keep identity secret

The Masked Singer UK judge Davina McCall has revealed one mystery celeb is ‘holding back their talent’ – and they have even been putting on an accent to throw the judges off the scent.

The new ITV talent show left fans reeling last weekend and as it stands only two celebrities have been unmasked.

EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer revealed herself to be Butterfly after treating us to a stunning cover of You’ve Got The Love; while former Home Secretary Alan Johnson may have walked like an Egyptian he sounded like a literal migraine and was subsequently exposed as the Pharoah.

There have been guesses thrown around including the likes of John Barrowman, Charlotte Church, Billie Piper, Nicola Roberts and Neil Morrissey (the list is endless).

And while it has been driving us crazy trying to guess who is who, Davina exclaimed viewers will be in for a shock when one of the celebrity’s identities is revealed.

Which celeb is hiding their talent? (Picture: PA)

Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about it, she explained: ‘You will have a moment. I’m not sure what episode it is.

‘Someone is holding back. I’ve got goosebumps talking about it. There’s a moment in one of the shows we went “what”.

‘Suddenly this voice came out. Who is it? And they change accents too.’

Who is putting on an accent? Duck is it you? (Picture: Vincent Dolman/ITV/PA Wire)

The former Big Brother host also admitted that one of her friends is actually behind one of the masks.

There are currently 10 celebs left in the competition – their character disguises are Duck, Queen Bee, Unicorn, Chameleon, Hedgehog, Monster, Fox, Daisy, Tree, and Octopus – but which one is likely to be Davina’s mate and more importantly who could it be?

When asked if she knew any of the celebrities, Davina told Metro.co.uk: ”There is one that I know quite well and I should have known.

‘And now I think about it, it is ridiculous and the clues and everything, you’ll do that.

‘You’ll see people on the show when the mask comes off and then you’ll say “of course it is”.’

Davina who is joined by comedian Jonathan Ross, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora on the judging panel added: ‘They disguise their voices, they disguise their accents. They disguise their singing voices.’

The Masked Singer airs on Saturday at 7pm on ITV.

John Barrowman flips Holly Willoughby the bird as she films him bonding with Phillip Schofield over silver hair

Holly Willoughby is one cheeky kitten as she spied on Phillip Schofield and John Barrowman discussing their hair behind the scenes on Dancing On Ice.

What happens on the ice does not stay on the ice, it seems!

The This Morning presenter got a little candid camera on her co-host and judge John as the two silver foxes discussed their grooming techniques. Feel free to take some tips if you please…

‘When it’s wet it becomes luminescent,’ John explained, as he ruffled his hair and Phil looked on in interest.

He continued: ‘When I put my normal product in it, it makes it look thin as you can see through [the strands]. If you use a matte paste…’

Holly’s undercover footage didn’t go unnoticed for too long, though, as the clip, uploaded to Instagram, showed the shocked pair realise they were being watched.

John made his thoughts known  (Picture: Holly Willoughby/Instagram)

‘This is the greatest conversation I’ve ever heard,’ Holly giggled as Phil looked on, mouth agape.

John then flashed his middle fingers and called Holly evil in the tongue-in-cheek clip.

It was a hilarious moment that marked the jolly relationship between the three, not long after Piers Morgan suggested the bunch of them were all fake.

We have to say, this all looks pretty chummy and sincerely hilarious to us!

The no-nonsense presenter’s show Good Morning Britain is up against This Morning once again for best live magazine show in the upcoming ceremony, and he took aim at his competition and fuelled speculation that there’s drama behind-the-scenes at the network.

But, hey, great hair the lot of them!

Piers jokingly added: ‘Anyway, I wish Holly and Phil all the best, I’ve got my fingers crossed guys. Hope you do it again.’

Now Holly Willoughby wants to buy Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina candle: ‘Is it wrong?’

Holly Willoughby clearly has a very unique sense of smell as she admits wanting to buy Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina-scented candle that’s left everyone confused.

It’s emerged that Gwyneth’s weird and wonderful lifestyle brand Goop has released a new candle titled, This Smells Like My Vagina, for a cool $75 (£57).

Even more bizarre is that the candle has actually sold out.

Now it seems that Holly, 38, might be one of those to snap up the scent after sharing her intrigue with Lorraine’s viewers on ITV today.

Discussing the controversial product with entertainment reporter Ross King, Lorraine said: ‘I don’t want you to buy me this candle if it’s alright with you?’

Ross’ main concern was whether he could say ‘vagina’ on live breakfast TV, choosing instead to go with ‘nonny’, like we’re in the school playground again.

A little flustered from all the genital talk, Lorraine interjected: ‘Honestly you couldn’t make it up. I don’t know how we’re going to do this without getting taken off the air.

Lorraine
Poor Lorraine (Picture: ITV)

‘Holly and Phil, we need some decorum.’

Holly replied: ‘I can’t believe that’s a candle, that is shocking,’ before having a change of heart, adding: ‘Is it wrong I want to buy one?’

‘Whatever lights your candle,’ Ross brilliantly replied.

Maybe it’s not ‘wrong’, Holly, but we wouldn’t want to have a peek inside your Amazon basket.

You couldn’t make it up (Picture: Goop)

So, how on earth did Gwyn’s new candle come to be?

According to the description on the Goop website: ‘This candle started as a joke between perfumer Douglas Little and GP—the two were working on a fragrance, and she blurted out, “Uhhh…this smells like a vagina”—but evolved into a funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent.

The description adds as an aside: ‘(That turned out to be perfect as a candle—we did a test run at an In Goop Health, and it sold out within hours).

‘It’s a blend of geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed that puts us in mind of fantasy, seduction, and a sophisticated warmth.’

Holly isn’t the only one interested in the candle, as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson joked that he’s creating one that smells like his balls.

Please, make it stop.

Lorraine continues weekdays at 9am on ITV.

Woman hooked on 70 co-codamol a day after prescription: ‘There’s always a chemist around the corner’

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield heard first-hand on This Morning today about a guest’s addiction to opioids that saw her take up to 70 co-codamol tablets a day.

Vicki Chadwick joined the presenting duo alongside Michael Mosely, whose fronting a documentary on the growing crisis both here in the UK and across the pond in the States.

Brave Vicki told Holly and Phil how after a nasty bout of kidney stones, she was prescribed co-codamol – which is an opioid – by her GP. Soon, she was addicted, even if she didn’t know it.

‘It wasn’t until my family, my brother and friends kind of made the decision that it was getting too far,’ she shared. ‘They were pushing and pushing that I went to see my GP, but I wasn’t really believing it, I wasn’t really understanding it.’

Vicki said that the addiction took around five to six months to develop, but became a habit that it took her years to break.

The feeling of the opioids gave her a ‘confident, warm, fuzzy feeling. The ability to be able to cope with everyday life, because I was severely depressed and anxious.’

Things came to a head in 2017, when Vicki overdosed. After being admitted to rehab, she would overdose again.

It was only when her ex-boyfriend gave her the ultimatum – me or the drugs – that she started on the road to recovery.

‘[It was] Horrifically hard,’ she told Holly and Phil. ‘It’s taken me a good four or five years to actually get off them, because you go through a slippery slope of going up and down.

‘You’re happy – you think you can continue with your life and then it all goes terribly wrong.’

She added: ‘It’s always a hurdle and so the trigger is there for your mind as well, there’s always a chemist round the corner.’

Luckily, however, Vicki has managed to get a hold of her addiction and has a new lease of life.

‘I’m really well,’ she confirmed. ‘[I’m] the best I’ve ever been.’

Kate Ferdinand appeared on This Morning today and shared an adorable story on her new husband Rio Ferdinand’s children and their speech at the couple’s wedding,

The former Towie star married footballer Rio back in October 2019, with his daughter Tia acting as her maid of honour, while sons Lorenz and Tate walked her halfway down the aisle.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the 27-year-old said that Tia, Lorenzo and Tate had a little surprise in their speech.

‘I’ll give you this,’ Kate told the presenting duo.

‘In one of their [wedding] speeches, the last thing they said is “when’s the baby?” And everyone cheered, it was really funny.’

Holly also had some pearls of wisdom to share with Kate – telling her that these questions aren’t going to stop any time soon.

‘What happens is, when you get together they ask “when are you getting married,”‘ Holly shared.

‘Then you get married and they say “when are you going to have a kid?” Then you have a kid and they go “when are you going to have another one?” So this is the beginning of it.’

The good news is, Kate and the kids have a great relationship, although she revealed it’s not always been a walk in the park.

The former reality star recalled an argument she’d had with them in the car, with one of the kids telling her: ‘You don’t know, you’re not my mum.’

‘The minute they said it, there was a gasp,’ she explained to The Times magazine. ‘They’ve never said it again.’

She went on to say: ‘I’m not their mum. But I act like a mum and I see them as my children.’

The TV star previously revealed how she and Rio ‘saved each other’ after his first wife Rebecca died from breast cancer.

Recalling how they met, the TV star told the Sun On Sunday: ‘We really did save each other. Rio was at a stage in his life where he had lost his wife and I was also lost..’

Holly’s got a head start on the competition (Picture: ITV)

Holly Willoughby is going for gold in 2020 as she is in talks to become the host of a new Olympic-themed reality competition series.

Whether it’s with Phillip Schofield on This Morning and Dancing On Ice or Declan Donnelly on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, it’s been a while since we’ve seen Holly give solo presenting a chance.

But the new year might give her that chance, as the 38-year-old is reportedly frontrunner to host ITV’s The Real 2020 Games, a competition series that will see celebs compete in teams as they go head to head in real Olympic events.

If you’ve ever wanted to see your favourite stars compete in the shot put and synchronised swimming, now’s your chance.

Having been in talks for the show since before Christmas, Holly is said to be excited by the prospect of joining the project when filming begins later this year, with a source telling The Sun: ‘Holly will be the face of The Real 2020 Games which is tapping into the hype around the upcoming Olympics [with] a number of big name stars being signed up to take part.

‘Holly’s really excited to get involved as it’ll be a fun, high octane show and is getting a brilliant slot of 9pm on ITV so it’s fantastic exposure for her.’

Back in 2006, Channel 4 made a similar reality series called The Games, but ITV bosses insist this series, marking the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, will be different.

‘While the concept is similar ITV’s version is going to involve more scenes of the training and will have a lot more personality,’ the source continued.

‘The production team think it’s going to be a hit as it’s tapping into the Olympic spirit and getting everyone in the mood for the Tokyo Games in July.’

We can’t wait!

White House Farm twin boy’s father Colin Caffell on how he fell for murderer Jeremy Bamber’s lies: He ‘was sick’

$

The man whose family was killed at White House Farm has told how he ‘walked into’ murderer Jeremy Bamber’s lies.

In August 1985 five members of the same family were shot dead in a remote farmhouse in Essex. They were Sheila Caffell, her twin sons Daniel and Nicholas, and her parents Neville and June Bamber.

Police initially believed it was Sheila, who suffered from poor mental health, who had carried out the horrific crime before turning the gun on herself. However, one detective, Stan Jones, had doubts about this and believed it was Sheila’s brother Jeremy Bamber who was responsible.

Eventually, it was Jeremy – the person who had first called the police to the farm – who was convicted of the murders of his own family. Bamber is currently in prison serving a life sentence but has always insisted he is innocent.

Colin Caffell, the ex-husband of Sheila Caffell and the father of Daniel and Nicholas, appeared on This Morning where Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield asked him to relive that horrific moment.

‘It was a terrible knock at the door, suddenly everything was fine and then I opened the door to two policewomen,’ he began.

‘I went through all the classic stages of grieving, I was trying to hang on to my positive memories of the twins and I walked into Jeremy’s lies and believed them, to begin with.’

Talking about his ex-wife Sheila he exclaimed how the papers made her out to be something she was not.

He continued: ‘She was mentally ill and heavily medicated, she was an ex-model and the papers turned it into a soap opera, she was a kind and loving mother.’

Colin also spoke of the moment he realised something didn’t add up with Jeremy, he added: ‘We started seeing odd behaviour but I invited Jeremy into my flat and then he started to show elements of not grieving.

‘There was a point he came running up the stairs giggling and ran into my mother  and then after the funeral, we were in the car and he started larking around in the car – and it was sick.’

Ex Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner attacks Holly Willoughby’s appearance in stand-up show

Former Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner has thrown shade at Holly Willoughby’s appearance at one of his stand-up shows.

During the event on Thursday, the former judge sang a song about the ITV show, and referred to Holly as ‘Holly Wollobooby’.

He also slammed Dancing on Ice for trying to be like Strictly Come Dancing.

‘Hosted by Phillip and Holly Willobooby whose massive t**s aren’t hard to see,’ he sang.

‘Be honest, there is not much of anything else to say.’

‘It’s like Strictly, but on ice. It tried to be Come Dancing. You get bruises from hell and that f***ing headbanging. It’s Dancing on Ice. What do I do instead, watch Call the Midwife. And now I’m free,‘ reports The Sun.

Jason Gardiner

It follows after the former judge slammed Holly and Phillip Schofield for being ‘fake’ after they apparently failed to reach out to him following his departure from the show.

Even though, as Jason claimed, he sent Phillip a message following the fracas surrounding alleged complaints by fellow ITV stars towards the presenter.

Expecting a message from the hosts he’d worked with since 2005, Jason told The Sun: ‘Since it was announced I was leaving the show I’ve had nothing from Phil and Holly. Not even a text message.

‘It is hurtful, especially because when Phillip was getting a lot of negative attention recently I sent him a message of support.

‘I thought they would get in touch but I’ve learned this industry is full of fake and disingenuous people.’

It wasn’t his only thought on Phillip – who was mired in controversy after it was alleged last year a number of ITV presenters spoke about the alleged ‘toxic’ atmosphere at This Morning, with a reported spat with his co-host Holly thrown in as well.

However ITV as well, as Holly and Phil, have all denied there is an issue.

Holly even went so far as to suggest she’d quit This Morning if Phillip was to ever leave, saying on Celebrity Juice of her ‘TV husband’: ‘We said right from the beginning that if either of us didn’t do it, we wouldn’t want to do it.

‘I can’t imagine This Morning without Phil.’

Holly Willoughby responds to speculations that she’s The Masked Singer’s Octopus

Holly Willoughby has finally responded to fans questioning whether she is The Masked Singer’s Octopus.

This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield and presenter Kem Cetinay quizzed her on her involvement with the eccentric singing show.

When asked whether she was the tentacled talent, the 38-year-old said: ‘Guys this is really nice of you but you’ve all heard me sing right? Octopus has got a really good voice.’

That sounds like a ‘no’ to us but she continued: ‘You know what, I’m not going to confirm or deny, I’m just going to leave it there. I get up to a lot in my spare time…’

Octopus made a big impact on their first appearance with their rendition of the Little Mermaid song Part Of Your World.

They described themselves as ‘bubbly, happy and always on the go’  as well as being ‘leggy’ and having some connection with the catwalk – as well as admitting to loving weight-training following their first performance.

So far, there have been a lot of guesses but most of them are Australian due to the accent.

Maybe Holly is great at accents?

Guesses so far have included Kylie Minogue, Danii Minogue, Courtney Act, Tyra Banks, Holly Valance, Heidi Klum, Charlotte Church and Jane McDonald.

ITV series The Masked Singer began earlier this month and four celebrities have already been unmasked, including Patsy Palmer (Butterfly), Alan Johnson (Pharaoh), Justin Hawkins (Chameleon), and football legend Teddy Sheringham (Tree).

Teddy nearly didn’t make it to The Masked Singer stage after revealing that his wife said his singing would see him ‘ridiculed for the rest of his life.’

The 53-year-old sports star was unmasked on Saturday night after competing in the wacky ITV singing contest as Tree, but revealed on This Morning that his appearance on the show was almost cut short after one rather dodgy rehearsal.

‘When I first went and did the rehearsals it was in the studio and I sang the song just to a backing track and I thought, “yeah, that sounds alright,”’ he said.

‘My vocal coach sent it through to me later that day, said, “have a look, see what you think.”’

Teddy continued: ‘I was lying in bed that night, I’ve got it on my phone, I said, “they’ve sent through what I did today, shall we have a listen?”

‘We’re lying there, I played it and it was horrendous. My wife went, “you’ve got to get out of this show, you are going to get ridiculed for the rest of your life.”’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and The Masked Singer airs every Saturday at 7pm on ITV.
